Houston & Hawkes wins ESG Award at the Contract Catering Awards 2026

We’re incredibly proud to share that Houston & Hawkes has won the ESG Award at the 2026 Contract Catering Awards, held on 3 March 2026 in London. The award recognises our ongoing commitment to environmental performance, social impact and strong governance across the business.

This recognition is a meaningful moment for our team. It reflects the way we do business every day, from how we source ingredients and work with suppliers, to how we support our people, invest in communities and build long-term value for our clients. The award comes shortly after our successful B Corp recertification in late 2025, where Houston & Hawkes became the first UK contract caterer to complete the process under B Lab’s strengthened standards.

Over the past few years, we’ve continued to grow while keeping responsible business at the centre of our decision-making. Key initiatives highlighted alongside this recognition include the rollout of our Carbon Food Ladder, simplified recycling guidance across sites, chef-led waste reduction activity, and a sourcing approach where more than 85% of produce is sourced from suppliers within 50 miles of London.

Alongside environmental progress, our social impact continues to grow through partnerships with organisations including Magic Breakfast, Cook For Good and the Zero Carbon Forum. These partnerships, together with our focus on culture, wellbeing and accountability, help ensure our ESG approach is practical, measurable and embedded into the everyday running of the business.
